When did you last really make time for each other? In Carine’s studio, you swap the bustle of everyday life for paint, colour and an afternoon together. You each work on your own painting, with personal guidance and no need to know how to paint. A lovely activity for mothers and adult daughters or sons, and for fathers and adult daughters or sons.
An afternoon together, a painting of your own
Choose colours, experiment with paint and let something personal emerge on each canvas. Carine looks on, shares practical painting tips and guides you individually. Try things together and look at each other’s work without pressure to perform. There is time for coffee, tea or fruit juice and some treats along the way. At the end, you each take your own painting home.
A mother-daughter activity with time for each other
A mother-daughter workshop for a mother and her adult daughter is an invitation to share an experience. For a birthday, an afternoon catching up or simply because you want to make time for each other. A conversation at the painting table, a new colour on the canvas: together you shape the afternoon.
With your father or adult son, too
Looking for a father-daughter or mother-son activity? A mother with her adult son, a father with his adult daughter or a father with his adult son can also enjoy a creative afternoon together here. Curiosity about colour is enough; nobody needs painting experience. Other adult relatives can join your own small group.
Painting with Carine
Carine De Meester is an artist and Polderlicht’s host. In her studio, surrounded by her paintings and close to the garden, she guides you personally. She gives everyone room to work at their own pace and helps with practical tips. The peaceful setting invites you to step away from everyday bustle for a while.

You paint in the studio; in good weather, possibly in the garden. Everyone takes their own painting home.
